A quick update on the website status, pilot engagement, and potential new ventures.
Website Status
I've been poking and prodding at our website lately, not entirely sure what the end goal is, but it's proving to be a bit of fun! With a significant server job at work on the horizon, I may not be able to dedicate as much time to the website aside from keeping it operational and squashing any bugs that pop up.
Dispatch Board Development
The Dispatch board is shaping up nicely, revealing information I didn't even know was available. I encourage everyone to take some time to tinker with it and share your feedback!
Summer Dynamics
As summer approaches, the virtual airline and the flight sim community tend to quiet down, and our Discord channels are no exception. I've noticed many of our pilots are in "Tycoon" mode, with fewer flying VA jobs outside of using AI. However, pilots are still enjoying company missions, and that's perfectly fine—there are no flight time requirements for our seasoned VAs.
Partner Updates
One of our partners, Echo Airlines, is developing their own website. I highly recommend checking it out at Echo Airlines.
Encouragement for OnAir
I would love to see our pilots promoting OnAir on Discord and other flight sim-related media. I've heard that significant changes and enhancements are coming to the platform over the summer, making it an excellent time to get involved.
Potential New Ventures
While I enjoy the Tycoon-style play in the Stratus world, I feel a pull back to the Thunder world where pilots are actively flying in the sim. I'm considering restarting the OnAir Thunder Southwest of Sanity virtual airline and would like to know if anyone is interested in assisting with this endeavor. If you want to help smooth out the rough edges, please reach out!
